Rest day, for real

Played football yesterday so I am banged up and sore today. Couple of deep bruises, nothing too terrible.

But a day off to stretch, walk a little, soak up some autumn sun (very rare around here).

Good times, will try 4x Crossfit next week.

Crossfit Rest Day

So I will play football instead! 

Okay, that’s not restful. And I pay for it all day Sunday and often Monday by being sore and bruised. But I love playing. It also answers the question “why workout so hard all week”. 

As we get closer to the Gorilla Games I signed up for I might need to stop playing as the bruising and battering is pretty severe but for now… fall equals football.

548. There is one way to cook perfect bacon. Find it.

I love these rules… but this one is just wrong. You can

  1. Fry it
  2. Broil it
  3. And in a pinch, and this is sort of wrong but it works anyway, microwave it

So two very good ways to cook perfect bacon, one so-so, not very good but will do when you need a few quick slices before running out the door way to cook bacon.

And by the way…. boiling bacon just won’t work. Trust me.
