Virgin Air experience starts poorly

Hm, I thought VirginAir was supposed to be slick. But when trying to check in last night I couldn’t select a seat. So I called. And I still can’t get a seat. Hm… Sure I paid full price. Sure I logged in early and even called. And yet I am virtually assured a crappy seat. Which I can deal with except I am supposed to be working which is impossible in a middle seat. So I hit the airport early and yep, middle seat. And the last few non-middles are controlled at the gate.

So we now have a few fails in a row. I see no reason to fly this airline again when I can always get a decent seat on Alaska. I may not love Alaska Airlines as their service slips but at least they can figure out online checkin.
