Shopping carts

K and I went to Whole Foods and he immediately noticed a French/US difference: only the front wheels turn on shopping carts in the US. Score one for the US here, all four wheels turning makes it harder to use even in the tiny French markets.

  1. Two other differences shopping in the US: 1) You don’t need to unload your (hand) basket to give items to the cashier. I usually remember this when I’ve unloaded all but the final item.2) They bag your groceries for you. WOW.
