-10 this morning in this lovely Swiss valley. Saas Fee is at the very end of this valley. Tiny village and it’s car free. Only rough part so far was grocery stores close at 18:30 which makes it tough when you arrive late. But no worries we had some lovely take-home pizza, carrots, potato chips. One thing I forgotten is that Migros, one of the two chains here, doesn’t sell beer or wine. Thankfully a kindly pub owner sold me two bottles. Nice guy, great little snug pub. Only downside was that it was Swiss wine. They pay a lot to advertise Swiss wines as “getting better” or “better than you think” which says a lot. But after a long train journey the Pinot Noir went down fine.
We feel lucky not to be in the mess at LHR or anywhere else today.
