Okay, the snow disrupts things. And wow did I need to blaze through LHR security to make the transfer. And then… My seat was broken so they had me stand in the crew section waiting to see what would open. They should have just bumped me into First. But ah well, they finally put me in a decent seat.
I admit I was stewing about all this. But the head of the flight crew was obviously barking at the ground staff to hurry up “her customer was waiting”. And later she stopped by to check on me, apologize. You know what? That made it all fine. Fixed the day. Simply saying “sorry” and working with me on a solution on a day I bet was tough for everyone was just fine. I know I am high-maintenance, I fly too much not to be. But that little effort was all it took, so thank you.
And the glass of champagne was a nice touch.
