Nice, that didn’t work at all. From what I can tell GMail is only sending multipart/alternative and WordPress supports plain text email only. Score one for Outlook on this (Outlook always sends a plain text body along for low-end clients).
Okay, after checking this out several times… images just don’t work. They wind up encoded as gibberish-text. The right type is coming through but the wp-mail.php is not dealing with the attachments correctly. Ideally it would just save the attachment to the upload directory and add a link to the email but I know that requires parsing and such. I suspect looking around at WordPress plugins I will find something.
